We are available 24/7 to all stake holders to be able to respond to normal port call requirements as well as the variables that could impact a vessels call that are out of our control.
Provide communications to all concerned for timely arrangements of vessel movements that are cargo related as well as owners related. Proactive communications will be necessary so all parties can make decisions that are beneficial for the vessels calls. Provide superior arrangements to the vessel by proactive reporting to all concerned in writing and verbal communications so all parties are advised of the movements and possible contingencies that can impact their profitability.

Local Port Liaison -
Our agents are responsible for advising owners/vessel/charterers of all port requirements such as any port restrictions and prearrival filings such as U.S.C.G. required Electronic Notice of Arrival and any requirements for filing Governmental documentation prior to arrival. An agent’s responsibility is to insure that all governmental prearrival formalities have been carried out to avoid delays to the port call.
The primary function of a Riverbend Shipping agent is to handle a vessel as efficiently and effectively as possible so all involved parties do no experience delays which can be costly as well as damage the parties reputation with all involved.
Vendor Arragements -
Pilots, tugs, line handlers, launch service for pilots, government officials, agents, surveyors, etc. The vendors arrangements will be made by the agent and the agent will be responsible for settling all local expenses for the vendors. The agent will settle the account and settle all invoices with vendors.
Agent will also be responsible for all required documentation and post voyage filings with customs if vessel loaded and export cargo documentation is required to be filed with Customs and border protection.
